Don’t let $73 delay the new middle school

January 11, 2023

Dear Concord Residents,

As a parent, resident and taxpayer, I urge you to vote YES on Jan. 19th, 2023 for the increased funding required to support the middle school project that this community deserves and approved in the January 2022 vote.

Consider these facts:

  • The town has already approved the middle school project
  • Inflation has driven costs up by 7%
  • $4M in cuts have already been made
  • A YES vote will amount to a mere $73 per median household per year
  • Tax relief is available to those who need it
  • The longer we wait on this project, the more expensive it will be!

Our current middle school is outdated and does not have the resources or facilities to adequately support the educational needs of our students.

Investing in the education of our youth is an investment in the future of our town.  The long-term benefits of the project far outweigh any short-term financial costs.  Vote YES on Jan. 19th to support the additional funding needed to make the new middle school a reality.

Sincerely,

Lauren McCauslin
