I am writing on behalf of my husband Greg and myself to strongly endorse Cameron McKennitt for the Concord Select Board.
Cameron and I grew up in Concord and graduated with the CCHS Class of 1987. We each highly value the Concord community, so for the past 14 years, we have shared the experience of raising our families in town. Over the years, Cameron has shown himself as a dedicated parent with deep roots in athletics and creative arts, supporting his children on the sports fields, ice rinks, golf course, and stage.
Cameron and I also worked together at National Grid. I watched him successfully start an internal consulting group and, from there, earn increased responsibility and respect, culminating in his current role as a leader on the global executive team. As a large, regulated company, Cameron’s style of working across the organization with good processes and governance led him to tackle some of the company’s most significant challenges successfully. He works with an inclusive, inquisitive approach and an analytical mindset that helps drive the best solutions for the company’s customers and stakeholders.
Concord is a special town where many, Cameron and myself included, have returned to raise our families. Concord and the Select Board have many critical projects and policies before them. How these initiatives are managed will set the direction for the town’s future. We all want Concord to be a place where our families return to raise the next generation. Greg and I feel Cameron’s background, approach, and insight are needed to navigate these challenges and thoughtfully chart a path forward for this fantastic community.
