Concord-Carlisle High School’s co-ed alpine ski season is shaping up with dry land practice, team bonding, fitness, relay races, fun, and games.
The boys team is looking to build on its strong showing last year, when it took the MBW Omega league title in the regular season and playoffs. Four of the top six boys are back, looking to secure another spot at states, led by senior captain Henry Flint and juniors Theo Remington, Tucker Kuftinec, and Jamie Poole. They also snagged four trophies at the all-league race: 1st men’s slalom, 1st men’s combined, 2nd men’s giant slalom, and 2nd men’s combined, in conjunction with the girls.
Senior captain Sam Snell is hoping to continue his rise up the charts and join them at states. With more in the pipeline ready to grab a spot in the racing lineup, there’s optimism about the season.
The girls have two strong racers returning in senior captain Delaney Remington and sophomore Juniper Flint, both of whom made states last year. Senior captain Izzy Poole leads the group of skiers developing their racing skills and earning points for the Patriots, and the freshmen class looks to add depth to the top six.
