Thomas Joseph Clark, 67

Thomas Joseph Clark, 67, of Lunenburg, formerly of Concord, died peacefully on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Lunenburg.
Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, on April 19, 1957, he was the son of the late Harry R. Clark and Jane F. (Moran) Clark. He attended schools in New Jersey, Virginia, and Massachusetts.

At Concord-Carlisle High School, Tom excelled in academics and was vice president of his class’s National Honor Society. Tom was the captain of the cross-country team, along with the indoor track team and spring track team at CCHS, and was the second-fastest runner in Massachusetts. Tom graduated from CCHS in 1975 and received the school flag award for academics and athletics.

Tom was accepted to MIT and received a track scholarship. He graduated from MIT with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. While attending MIT, he had the opportunity to work as a biomechanics researcher doing research and design on artificial knees and hips, along with knee, hip, and neck braces.

In his career, he worked in many technology areas, including medical, plastics, defense, and electronics, applying his mechanical design and engineering skills. He also had a penchant for inventing and worked on several patents.

Survivors include his siblings, Harry R. Clark Jr. of Townsend, Jane Cullinane and her husband Chris of Palmyra, Virginia, Michael Clark and his wife Cathy of Lunenburg, Joseph Clark and his wife Kim of Virginia Beach,  and Judith LaRocca and her husband Peter of Concord; his nieces and nephews Katherine Clark, Elizabeth Clark and fiancé Ben, Zachary Clark, Caleb Cullinane, Wesley Cullinane, Kara Clark-Hamar and her husband James, Jillian O’Brien and her husband Deven, Michael Clark Jr., Daniel Clark and his wife Clare, Stephen Clark and his wife Melissa, Ava LaRocca, and Mia LaRocca; great-nieces and nephews Madison, Mason, Eleni, Miles, Beckett, Henry, Louisa, Daphne; and many cousins.

Family and friends are invited for visitation from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Interment will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
