Dear Reader,
Are you glad to be reading high-quality local stories on these pages? Good news! You still have about a week to keep them coming by donating to The Concord Bridge before the close of our 2024 fundraising campaign.
We launched two years ago because the trustworthy news Concordians want and deserve was impossible to find. We wanted to change that. As an independent non-profit, we see your donations as our lifeblood. We rely on your support to fund half of our operating budget.
Our thanks to the 300 new contributing households that have stepped up so far this year!
I love reading the praise in your notes — and hearing how even the kids read us. Shout-out to elementary schooler Sammi Lis for packing the newspaper first on her recent trip.
But the bad news is we are still short of our goal of welcoming 500 new contributing households by December 31.
We still need 200 new believers in local news to join us before we can proudly say that 20 percent of Concord families give to their weekly paper, up from 12 percent. We know we can count on you to pitch in.
Why do we ask you for your tax-deductible donations, even though The Bridge is delivered free to your home every week? We don’t sell subscriptions because we believe everyone should know what’s going on in town.
Our community — and our democracy — work best when we all have access to accurate, reliable information.
If you value truly knowing what’s going on in Concord, please give to the 2024 Annual Campaign right now. Most important, please become a recurring benefactor and commit to funding us every year.

We are grateful for each and every donation, but please give as generously as you can. The giving level options show how you can become an integral part of our success. We will gratefully recognize our donors in our Valentine’s Day issue.
Bottom line: We can’t exist without your philanthropy.
And when you support The Concord Bridge, you’ll be making history. As historic Concord’s newspaper of record, The Bridge remains in perpetuity in the annals of Concord Free Public Library. Your descendants will know you had a hand in building Concord’s newest institution.
This holiday season, we wish you the best — and we thank you wholeheartedly for helping us keep Concord connected. Please support local news today.
Kind regards,
Maile Hulihan
CEO, The Concord Bridge
