Because The Concord Bridge was on holiday hiatus, we here present highlights of two weeks of police records.
Wednesday, December 18
9:11 a.m. Police stopped a vehicle on Concord Turnpike at Walden Street and arrested the driver for driving with a suspended license.
10:26 a.m. Two cars, a black Audi and a silver Range Rover, were driving recklessly in the CCHS parking lot. The vehicles attempted to leave the area but were followed by police, who issued citations.
1:41 p.m. A 911 caller near Sudbury Road reported a person videoing her while she was using the ATM. Police discovered a person filming from the sidewalk and not attempting to steal personal information.
10:37 p.m. A 911 caller reported a car drove into the sidewalk at Monument Square. A second 911 caller advised that the driver was leaving the scene and walking up Bedford Street. Police found the uninjured driver and arrested him for operating under the influence of alcohol (first offense), leaving the scene, marked-lanes violations, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Thursday, December 19
10:19 a.m. A Bedford Street resident reported a tree had fallen from Partridge Lane onto his property. Police contacted the property owner and advised them to arrange removal.
10:33 a.m. Walk-in report of a traffic dispute the day before with a rider on an e-bike, but the person was unable to give a description. Police advised the person to contact them if another incident occurred or if they identified the rider.
4:50 p.m. A Willow Street caller reported her father had been the victim of a scam.
Friday, December 20
2:25 p.m. Multiple 911 callers reported an accident at Old Marlboro Road and Blueberry Lane. Airbags deployed in both cars. One car was towed, and a family of four was transported to Emerson Hospital as a precaution.
3:09 p.m. A 911 caller reported a Ford Ranger ran into a pole at Old Bedford Road and Minot Road. An airbag was deployed, but the driver was uninjured. Concord Municipal Light Plant responded, and police detoured traffic during the repair.
7:09 p.m. An Annursnac Hill Road resident reported a bird flew into their home and they couldn’t get it out. Animal control was contacted.
Saturday, December 21
12:28 p.m. A Lexington Road resident reported a threatening email.
4:21 p.m. A Main Street resident reported a disabled vehicle parked by her house for six hours, partially obstructing the roadway. A subsequent 911 call from the owner reported the vehicle disabled. Owner was advised it would be towed. Owner returned to the car, and it was towed to his Stow Street home.
5:17 p.m. A disabled train at West Concord Depot caused backups on Commonwealth Avenue and Church Street. MBTA assisted.
Sunday, December 22
11:07 a.m. A Walden Street resident came in to report she’d lost a sunglasses lens.
12:25 p.m. A parked car was hit by an unknown vehicle on Sudbury Road. Suspect vehicle is a Toyota, as evidenced by the hubcap left behind.
2:14 p.m. Accident at the Concord rotary. One car was towed; the fire department responded for a fluid leak. Drivers declined medical treatment.
Monday, December 23
9:29 a.m. A Riverside Avenue resident reported possible vandalism of Christmas lights a week before. Police said they would check neighborhood cameras.
10:33 a.m. A Nathan Pratt Drive resident reported a theft from the package room sometime between December 10 and 14.
11:42 a.m. The railroad gate on Sudbury Road lowered onto a pickup truck. Neither the truck nor the gate was damaged.
5:41 p.m. A Main Street caller reported a person walking from Woods Hill Table to 7-Eleven who was dressed improperly for the weather. Police found the person in 7-Eleven and drove him home.
Tuesday, December 24
11:30 a.m. A call from a passerby on Monsen Road reported a car drove onto the path at Great Meadows. The driver was not injured and called a tow truck, which pulled the car from the ditch.
9:12 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle spun onto the median on Route 2 West at the rotary. No injuries; the car was towed.
Wednesday, December 25
7:43 a.m. Multiple callers reported power outages on Elm Street from Main Street to Route 2 and surrounding neighborhoods. CMLP advised.
10:44 a.m. A Garfield Road resident said he noticed lights in his backyard around 7:30 the previous night, and this morning he found tire tracks. Police determined it was difficult to see the end of the common driveway due to the snow, and someone had driven past the end.
2:10 p.m. An Elm Street caller reported a gray Toyota Corolla in front of their home for a long time. Police discovered the car empty and flashers on, and surmised the driver had walked to get gas.
3:45 p.m. A caller reported an injured hawk at Bellnap and Thoreau Streets. ACO notified.
9:12 p.m. A caller reported a drone hovering on Whittemore Street at Sudbury Road.
Thursday, December 26
11:16 a.m. A Westford Road resident called and said they had boxes of ammunition to turn in for destruction. Police collected the boxes.
4:27 p.m. A Baker Avenue caller reported a man near Adams Road and Elm Street taking items from mailboxes. He was described as an older white male, wearing a blue hat and jacket, jeans, and brown shoes. Police did not find him but advised residents.
8:47 p.m. A Bartlett Hill Road resident said they were not home but their neighbors were reporting the lights in their house turning on and off. Police found the home secure.
Friday, December 27
9:14 a.m. A Conant Street resident reported a package stolen from her porch on December 9. Caller confirmed with UPS that it was delivered, but she never received it.
12:26 p.m. A Concord Greene resident reported a package theft.
1:57 p.m. A Beharrell Street manager said an “abandoned vehicle,” a black Mazda with Texas plates, had been parking in the rear lot for six months. The vehicle was found to be registered to a possible resident, and the staff contacted the owner.
Saturday, December 28
11:03 a.m. An alarm was activated on Blueberry Lane, and the keyholder said no one should be at the residence. It was the resident’s brother dropping something off.
11:55 a.m. A Garfield Road resident reported the door was blocked from the inside to the bedroom of her guest house and she was unable to see if there was anyone inside. Police responded and cleared the scene.
1:22 p.m. A Powder Mill Road resident reported receiving two motion alarms for his sliding door. The alarms had been set off by the cat.
6:22 p.m. A 911 caller reported a two-car crash in the Concord rotary. One party complained of back pain and was transported to Emerson Hospital.
Sunday, December 29
9:25 p.m. Three cars were off Route 2 at the rotary after a two-car crash. No road hazards; drivers declined medical assistance.
10:22 p.m. A Cottage Street resident said she received an email requesting bitcoin, or the sender would distribute alleged illicit photos of her. The woman said she did not click any links or communicate with the sender and was not missing money. Police advised.
Monday, December 30
12:01 a.m. A Sudbury Road caller said her sister had been trying to get home to Haverhill but was lost due to the fog. Police escorted the driver to the rotary, after which she was all set.
9:23 a.m. A 911 caller reported he went to his apartment on Conant Street for his medication and found bottles missing and a piece of broken glass on the floor. Nothing was out of place and there was no sign of forced entry. The man later reported he had found the missing items.
11:22 a.m. A Lowell Road caller reported a barn owl with an injured wing. ACO notified.
1:37 p.m. A caller reported a box truck at Main and Conant streets driving with its rear doors open, and losing items out of the back. Police found the truck pulled over and the driver securing the doors. Police found no debris.
3:02 p.m. A Central Street caller reported that while he was playing basketball on the roadside, a truck swerved toward him and struck him with its mirror. The caller saw the truck pull into Prairie Street and then leave. He declined medical assistance. Police said the vehicle was not at its residence and no one answered the door.
Tuesday, December 31
12:01 p.m. A Main Street caller reported a white male, 6’2”, with a beard, wearing dark pants a white sweater, into his office asking strange questions and not speaking clearly. The man walked in the direction of Valley Sports. He was located at the Stop & Shop in Acton, not causing any issues. Acton police advised.
1:45 p.m. A Wood Street resident said it looked like a car had driven through his bushes into his front yard, though there was no vehicle in the area. Police responded.
