The town’s Public Ceremonies and Celebrations Committee is accepting nominations this month for Concord’s next Honored Citizen.
For more than 50 years, a Concord resident has received this annual distinction for providing extraordinary volunteer service to the town. The Honored Citizen is invited to walk in the Patriots Day parade and participate in other important ceremonies throughout the year, and his or her name is inscribed on a special plaque on display at the Town House.
Concord’s 2024 Honored Citizen was O. Mario Favorito, a library trustee of more than 25 years who served on a variety of local boards.
Nominations are open through 5 p.m. on January 31. For more information, visit concordma.gov or use the form below.
