Concord’s MLK Day in pictures

Undeterred by the prior night’s heavy snows, Concord marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday with acts of service, reflection, and celebration. A program organized by the Concord Museum Contemporary Leaders in partnership with Open Table saw volunteers preparing bags for meals and snacks for local children. Outside Crosby’s Marketplace, the Concord-Carlisle Human Rights Council accepted donations of food. Walden Pond Visitor Center hosted an interpretive program on civil disobedience, and the Music Makes Me Happy Chorus filled Trinitarian Congregational Church with the sound of spiritual and gospel tunes.
