Tuesday, December 31

3:12 p.m. A Baker Avenue caller reported theft from Lexington Eye Associates. A summons to answer the charges was issued. 

3:31 p.m. A Nathan Pratt Drive resident reported packages stolen from his mailbox. 

10:40 p.m. A caller from the Residence Inn on Baker Avenue reported two men had an altercation. Police checked the Main Street area but did not find the other involved party. 

Wednesday, January 1

1:54 a.m. Police reported a small fire, due to fireworks, in a field near Williams Road. The fire was put out. 

10:49 a.m. A Shore Road resident reported a car blocking access to their residence. The vehicle owner was located and advised of the complaint. 

12:35 p.m. A Pleasant Street resident reported fireworks were set off in his neighborhood shortly after midnight. He didn’t call when he heard the noise, as he was in bed. 

2:39 p.m. A caller reported graffiti on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail under Powder Mill Road. Police didn’t believe it was recent and notified Concord Public Works. 

Thursday, January 2

6:26 a.m. A Main Street caller reported two recycling barrels in the road. The barrels were removed. 

6:39 a.m. A Lexington Road resident reported a possible break-in in his garage. He said he heard a noise and saw someone entering on his Ring camera. Police found no intruder and said the door had been blown open by the wind. 

8:28 a.m. A caller reported a tree branch blocking a lane of travel at Williams and Old Marlboro Roads. Police found the tree moved when they arrived, and they notified CPW. 

10:36 a.m. A 911 caller reported wires down on Monument Street near Turning Mill Road. Concord Municipal Light Plant advised and responded. A second 911 call reported trees hanging on wires. CPW was on scene. The roadway was temporarily closed. 

3:35 p.m. Additional calls regarding low wires on Monument Street, impeding traffic. CMLP was notified. 

9:37 p.m. Brunswick, Maine, police asked a patrol unit to stop by Alford Circle and ask the homeowner to contact the operator of a vehicle involved in a minor crash in Maine. Police did so. 

Friday, January 3

9:16 a.m. An Old Bedford Road reported a December 30 theft of an Amazon package delivery worth $120.

11:22 a.m. A walk-in complainant said a semi truck was blocking the roadway in an area of Walden Street. Police discovered it was a lumber delivery and stayed to assist with traffic. 

11:38: CPW found a wallet at Rideout Field. The owner was contacted and the wallet returned. 

1:35 p.m. A Blueberry Lane resident reported a “sickly looking fox” on his property. Animal Control officer notified. 

5:02 p.m. A Wright Road resident reported he heard what sounded like a gunshot coming from the end of the road. Police checked the street, the field, and Warners Pond and found nothing. 

5:38 p.m. A 911 caller reported a disabled car at Sudbury and Heaths Bridge Roads. The white Ford Escape had overheated and was smoking and leaking fluids. The car was towed, and the driver was picked up by her husband. 

Saturday, January 4

12:16 a.m. Staff at the Residence Inn reported a U-Haul truck in front of the Welch’s building. Police found nothing amiss. 

9:31 a.m. A Main Street caller reported a dead raccoon in the road. The animal had been moved to the side when police arrived; DPW was notified. 

10:15 a.m. A resident dropped off buckshot for destruction. 

4:19 p.m. A caller reported a Christmas tree in the road on Bedford Street. Police found no hazards. 

5:37 p.m. A caller reported a backpack and glass vase in the flower bed near the Sudbury Road entrance of the library. Police could not find the owner, so the bag was stored in temporary evidence for safekeeping. 

1o:22 p.m. Police checked on three vehicles pulled over on Route 2 near Walden Street. One of the cars was having trouble, and the other two drivers had stopped to help. 

Sunday, January 5

11:03 a.m. A Main Street caller reported she had lost her wallet at Valley Sports the day before. 

10:22 p.m. Police checked on a car parked in the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot. The driver had pulled over to use the wifi. 

Monday, January 6

5:08 a.m. Police struck a raccoon on Lexington Road, resulting in possible damage to the cruiser. It was fixed by another officer. Animal control was not needed. 

9:48 a.m. A Walden Street resident called asking for help getting her dog into a crate. When police arrived, she didn’t need assistance after all. 

12:36 p.m. A walk-in complained of construction vehicles at Hubbard and Thoreau Streets, causing a hazard for drivers turning onto Thoreau. Police spoke with workers, who will contact the excavator driver, as one of the Bobcats was close to the corner, though not causing a hazard. 

12:51 p.m. An Annursnac Hill Road resident reported a blue Volvo drove up her driveway, took a picture of her house, and then turned around and left. Police found no one and advised the resident to call if the car returned. 

Tuesday, January 7

12:46 a.m. Police checked on a vehicle parked at Dunkin’ Donuts. The driver was using the wifi. 

11 a.m. CMLP reported the electric vehicle chargers at Rideout Field were damaged. One charger is out of service. 

1:28 p.m. An Elm Street woman reported a Shaw Farm Road resident was yelling at her for walking her dog down that street. Parties were separated; the argument was about Shaw Farm Road being private property.

3:34 p.m. Police found a man hitchhiking at Walden Street and Bristers Hill Road and gave him a ride to the West Concord depot. 

7:09 p.m. A Shadyside Avenue resident reported discovering their passport and $1,000 had been taken from their home.
