I have had the pleasure of working directly with Alexa Anderson on numerous occasions over the 10-plus years I have known her. We served together at the Thoreau Elementary School on both the School Advisory Council and the board of the Parent Teacher Group, where Alexa created the Communications Committee to help unite a fragmented parent community, spearheaded the refurbishment of the Peace Garden, and served as vice president. We volunteered together on the Communications Committee of the Concord Free Public Library Building Project, where Alexa worked in partnership with Milldam Nursery School to raise $50,000 for the installation of a sculpture in the Children’s Reading Garden. We are both currently volunteering with the Parent Association at CCHS.
Alexa is one of the most hardworking people I know. When Alexa says she is going to look into something, consider it done. Alexa is smart, thoughtful, and genuine. She brings positive energy to every project she tackles. She is not afraid to face difficult conversations but does so with respect, patience, and understanding. There is no one I would rather sit next to on a board or committee than Alexa. I know of no one who knows the Concord Public Schools better than Alexa. She is able to access a multigenerational perspective through her experiences with her children, her own experiences attending CPS, and the experiences of her parents and family all who continue to live in Concord. In her time on the School Committee, I have watched Alexa continue her legacy of improving communication and exhibiting a can-do attitude. I cannot think of anyone more qualified to continue to serve on the school committee than Alexa Anderson. Please join me in voting for Alexa Anderson for School Committee.
