Theatergoers of all ages can say hello to their favorite children’s book characters — and bid farewell to the Sanborn Auditorium — with evening and matinee middle school performances of “Seussical Jr.”
Featuring classic figures like Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, and the Whos, the production runs the gamut of musical genres from Latin to pop, swing, gospel, R&B, and funk.
The show, based on adaptations of Seuss works and narrated by The Cat in the Hat, elevates themes of friendship, imagination, and loyalty — and will be the final student theater piece staged at Sanborn, 835 Old Marlboro Road.
Performances will take place January 31 and February 1 at 7:30 p.m. and February 2 at 2 p.m. Tickets, $10, are available at the door and via ticketstage.com/T/CONCORDMS.
