Carmine M. Lionetta, 89

Carmine M. Lionetta, age 89, of Concord, formerly of Arlington, died February 1, 2025, after a period of declining health.

Carmine was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Fitzpatrick) Lionetta for 67 years and the devoted father of Mark and his wife Celia, Diane, and Dan and his wife Irene. He was the loving “Papa” to Kara and her husband Chris Legrow, and Jaclyn and her husband Andrew Cardone; and special “Great Papa” to Charlotte, Colin, Harrison, and Camryn. He was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Zarella) and the brother of the late William.

Carmine and Rosemary raised their family in Arlington and later moved to Concord. He spent his retirement at the golf course, fishing, and active in local clubs and charities. Carmine had a career in the electronics/defense industry, which began when he was in the U.S. Army. He retired as an engineering manager for Raytheon.

Family and friends will gather for Carmine’s funeral Mass at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 15, at St. Bernard’s Church, 12 Monument Square. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Carmine Lionetta may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital to support its Yawkey Center Infusion Unit fund or its Colorectal Cancer Research fund.
