Alexa Anderson’s ‘collaborative leadership’ deserves another School Committee term

February 7, 2025

I am writing to offer my enthusiastic support for Alexa Anderson’s re-election to the School Committee. As a parent of two CPS students and the former president of the Willard Parent Teacher Group, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication, passion, and tireless work Alexa brings to improving our schools. I can think of no one better qualified to advocate for the future of our schools and the well-being of our students.

Alexa’s contributions to our community are truly impactful. She has been instrumental in some of the School Committee’s most important efforts, including her stewardship and service on the Middle School Building Committee, advocating for and securing resources to support student mental health, and successfully negotiating the recent Concord Teachers Union contract, which resulted in a fair and balanced three-year agreement. Alexa has also demonstrated strong fiscal responsibility, ensuring that our school budget supports not only the necessary infrastructure but also the programs that enrich and benefit all students.

What truly sets Alexa apart is her ability to balance a deep understanding of the challenges facing our schools with a clear, practical vision for overcoming them. She is not just a policymaker — she is a listener, engaging meaningfully with parents, teachers, and the broader community to ensure all voices are heard. That kind of collaborative leadership is essential as we move forward.

I have full confidence that Alexa will continue to bring thoughtful, effective leadership to the School Committee. I encourage everyone to vote for her this election.
