It is with great pleasure and full confidence that I am writing to endorse Alexa Anderson for the School Committee. I have known Alexa for many years here in Concord and have seen what an incredible force for good she is. My husband grew up in Concord, as did Alexa and her husband. She has roots that run deep with extended family members here in town, as well as three children going through the public school system.
Alexa is well connected to many different kinds of people across multiple generations in Concord, and she revels in learning from and hearing about all different viewpoints. She gets a little twinkle in her eye when listening to others, reflecting her openness to new ideas and intellectual conversation. She is incredibly responsive when constituents reach out, and she has a magical way of building consensus across large groups of people.
Alexa also has a proven track record, having served on a variety of committees over the years, most of which involved the schools in some way. She is fiercely devoted to the children and parents of this town, always fighting for what will serve their best interest. She has a strong relationship with our superintendent and is currently the most senior member of the School Committee. Her knowledge and history will facilitate a smooth transition as the committee brings on new members.
Alexa has my vote, and I hope you will join me at the polls to support her and in turn support our remarkable school system here in Concord.
