We are writing to enthusiastically support Alexa Anderson for re-election to the School Committee of the Concord Public Schools. We have lived in Concord for 40 years (we understand that we are still newcomers), we have raised five children in Concord, we educated our children in the Concord school system, and we have spent our careers in health care and education.
Alexa Anderson has earned three more years on the School Committee for her singular and compelling commitment to educating Concord students. As Alexa has said many times, “My sole agenda is improving student outcomes.”
Alexa’s qualifications for re-election include her passion for education, her abundant energy for addressing educational issues, her ability to collaborate with other town departments, her mature and transparent approach to the management team, her ability to listen first and act second, her prioritization of education over political/social issues, and her appreciation of the importance of building a fiscally responsible operating plan for the Concord Public Schools.
Perhaps most importantly, Alexa Boland Anderson cares about Concord. We watched Alexa and her husband, Cato, grow up, move away for college, return to Concord to raise their family, and get involved with the Concord community. At CCHS, Alexa was a bright, articulate, and engaged student, and she has applied these gifts to community service in Concord.
