We strongly endorse Alexa Anderson for re-election to the Concord School Committee.
Experience matters in this critical role, and Alexa has already demonstrated strong leadership during her successful two-year term as chair. She knows the key players, understands the issues, and is laser-focused on balancing fiscal responsibility with advancing student outcomes.
During her tenure, Alexa successfully negotiated the Teachers Union contract and provided key leadership on the Concord Middle School Building Committee. She also has been a dedicated advocate for underrepresented students, securing funds for a DEI director and DEIB lead stipends. Additionally, she served as the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee Liaison, ensuring that all students receive the support they need.
Alexa is both data-driven and compassionate. She listens, assesses, and finds compromise solutions to complex and sometimes thorny challenges. Her deep, multigenerational roots in our community reflect her unwavering commitment to our schools.
This is not simply a role to keep her busy in retirement — her children and family members are in our schools currently, giving her firsthand insight into the issues that matter most.
We encourage you to join us in voting for Alexa Anderson on April 8.
