I am writing to endorse Alexa Anderson for re-election to the School Committee. I have closely observed her leadership and commitment to our community, and I can confidently say that she is a tremendous asset to our school district.
Alexa is a leader who is willing to compromise and find solutions that benefit students and families. She is committed to doing the hard work of due diligence — never rushing into decisions without thoroughly exploring every option. In her tireless efforts around the Amenities Building project, she went above and beyond to find creative funding offsets to ease the burden on taxpayers.
I’ve noticed that she willingly takes on extra commitments: the Concord Middle School Building Committee, the Campus Completion Committee, contract negotiations, or searches for key positions like the METCO Director. She is always ready to roll up her sleeves.
Alexa has a unique ability to connect with a broad and diverse range of voices in our community. This wide-reaching network ensures she approaches every issue with a balanced perspective. She is approachable, and her willingness to engage and listen makes her a true representative of our community.
Alexa has shown great courage in standing up for what is right, even in the face of challenging opposition. I remember the way she handled the tense discussions around the school budget. She didn’t engage in heated debate — she used facts, reason, and careful consideration to make her case, advocating for our schools with integrity. I saw this in person as a member of the town audience and was thoroughly impressed.
I urge you to vote for Alexa Anderson for the School Committee. She has proven time and again that she is a dedicated, thoughtful, and highly effective advocate for our schools and our community.
