I was honored at the town caucus to nominate Alexa Anderson for the Concord School Committee. My journey with Alexa began years ago when she joined Dr. Hunter’s Five-Year Strategic Planning Committee. From the start, Alexa impressed me with her thoughtfulness, collaborative nature, and ability to tackle complex issues with both heart and pragmatism.
Our relationship deepened when Alexa advocated for the new middle school building, a project close to my heart. When she ran for School Committee, I was ecstatic — she would be a fantastic addition to the team. Alexa dove in, worked well with others, and got things done. Her positivity and team mindset were refreshing and effective.
Although we only overlapped on the committee for one year, it was clear that Alexa brought the determination, sensitivity, and integrity the district needed. For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside her on the CMS Building Committee, where those same qualities have continued to shine.
Alexa embodies the traits of an outstanding committee member: She’s collaborative, valuing input from all stakeholders — students, parents, teachers, administrators, and taxpayers. She listens carefully before making decisions and votes with conviction.
She is a passionate advocate for students and has a strong understanding of fiscal responsibility. Alexa’s connections across the community — from seniors to young families — allow her to truly represent diverse perspectives.
Her negotiation skills are also notable; she achieves the best outcomes for our schools while respecting everyone’s voice. Alexa is a doer, tackling challenges head-on and driving progress.
It is with great enthusiasm that I nominate Alexa Anderson for the Concord School Committee. She represents the best of Concord, and I’m confident she will continue to serve our community with dedication and integrity.
