Paul Boehm’s ‘experience and qualities’ right for Select Board

February 14, 2025

I am writing in support of Paul Boehm for the Select Board. I am a co-chair of the Warner’s Pond Task Force, which has been meeting regularly for the past year. I met Paul through our work on the task force. He has demonstrated that he is an active listener, collaborator, and problem solver. He uses data to support his thinking, is open to new ideas, and wants what is best for the community. All good qualities for being a member of the Select Board.

Paul is involved with other committees and task forces in town, such as the Recreation Commission, Community Preservation Committee, NMI-Starmet Re-use Planning Commission, and 2229 Main Street Advisory Task Force. Due to his involvement on these committees, he has been able to bring a wider perspective and understanding of various town issues to the Warner’s Pond Task Force. He has also shown how these committees and task forces can be helpful to each other.

This demonstrates Paul’s collaboration and his ability to look at a broader picture of the town. Also by having three generations of his family living in Concord, he is mindful of the needs of all age groups and, therefore, truly focused on the many issues facing the town.

I believe that Paul will be an effective Select Board member and will work to help steer Concord forward as we continue to grow and care for the wonderful amenities that we have in our town. We need someone with Paul’s experience and qualities to represent us on the Select Board. I plan to vote for him on April 8.
