Praise for Alexa Anderson’s ‘work ethic and heartfelt passion’

February 14, 2025

We are excited to offer our endorsement of Alexa Anderson for the School Committee. Her deep commitment, relentless work ethic, and heartfelt passion for supporting our students is truly inspiring.

Alexa’s dedication to our schools is exceptional. She has been a powerful advocate for expanding mental health resources, making a real and lasting difference in the lives of our students. This impact is evident in the positive trends highlighted in the most recent Youth Risk Behavior Survey. Alexa understands the pressures students face and has worked relentlessly to ensure they have the support they need to succeed both academically and emotionally.

We are particularly impressed by Alexa’s ability to navigate challenges, including those involving controversial and complex policy issues. She approaches such matters with a remarkable blend of tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to finding solutions that benefit everyone. When the controversy around school rankings arose, for example, her leadership played a key role in restoring Concord-Carlisle High School’s rightful place as the No. 5 high school in the state. She took a proactive approach, working collaboratively to ensure that the correct data was shared with Boston Magazine, and ultimately secured the truth for our community.

Alexa’s involvement with the Finance Committee showcases her ability to balance priorities thoughtfully. She ensures our children have access to the services they need, while also being mindful of fiscal constraints and the impact on taxpayers. Her responsible management of resources define the qualities of her service.

Alexa Anderson is the kind of leader we need on the School Committee, someone who is not only committed and hardworking but also empathetic and forward-thinking. We are confident she will continue to have a positive and lasting impact on our schools and our community.

Please join us in supporting Alexa Anderson.
