I am proud to support Alexa Anderson for re-election to the Concord School Committee. Having served alongside her on the board of Concord Youth Theater (CYT), I have witnessed her deep dedication to creating spaces where children feel safe, valued, and free to express themselves.
As a CYT alum, Alexa understands firsthand the impact of the arts and community on a child’s development. Despite not having children in the program, she joined the CYT board with enthusiasm and a strong sense of purpose. During the challenges of Covid, she secured local grants to offset funding losses, ensuring that CYT remained a haven for young people during an uncertain time.
This same commitment to children and community is evident in Alexa’s work on the School Committee. She is a strong advocate for the programs and services that help all children in Concord, Boston, and Carlisle thrive, ensuring that our schools are places of belonging and support — just as CYT has been for so many.
Our present School Committee has many new members, and Alexa’s leadership and institutional knowledge will be essential in guiding them and upholding Concord’s strong tradition of educational excellence. Her passion, experience, and unwavering dedication make her the right choice for this role.
