I am writing to express my enthusiastic endorsement of Joe Laurin’s candidacy for the Concord Select Board.
As a candidate in last year’s race, Joe garnered significant support from the voters of Concord and narrowly missed winning a seat on the town Select Board. As a newcomer to the political process without the brand recognition of other elected officials, he had to stand on personal experience and proposed policies to gain that kind of traction.
Joe has my support for three primary reasons:
- The expertise he brings to the board.
- He balances growth with fiscal accountability.
- His exceptional ability to work across differences, collaborate and get things done.
Joe has extensive experience in management consulting, finance, and health insurance. He has the ability to analyze data and engage constituents in dialogue to craft solutions that can be executed within an agreed-upon budget.
I have worked with Joe as a professional colleague, and we serve together on the board of the Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle. I have witnessed his collaborative work to advance the educational opportunities of our young students by harnessing the generous contributions of the people of the community.
Moving forward, we need the Select Board to continue to invest in our wonderful town and do so in a way that is fiscally responsible. I urge my fellow Concord residents to join me in supporting Joe Laurin for the Concord Select Board.
