I had the great pleasure of meeting with Michael Williams and talking about what he will bring to the Concord and Concord-Carlisle Public Schools. I found him to be deeply principled, honest, and passionate about education and our town, a town he has lived in for over 30 years.
Michael’s professional story is impressive. I could only imagine being a parent with a child under his care as a pediatric surgeon at some of Boston’s premier institutions, and the confidence and comfort he brings to very trying times. His personal story is impressive as well, raised from parents who were determined to give him opportunities they did not have. Michael went on to pursue his education across the country, settling in Concord and raising a family here, all of whom went through the Concord and Concord-Carlisle public schools.
Michael has lofty goals for the School Committee. A Concord for All is a noble idea. He has a plan for how to get there by being more responsive, more inclusive, and more accountable. More responsive by using data to inform decisions, more inclusive by bringing his life experience to the table, and more accountable by honoring the votes of the community.
I am excited about the direction of our town with Michael on the School Committee. Please join me in supporting his campaign to create a Concord for All.
