4 CCHS wrestlers advance to state tournament

Two senior wrestlers and two sophomores are representing Concord-Carlisle High School this week in the Division 1 State Tournament. 

Senior captains Eddie Myles and Miles Mattaliano and sophomores Penn Boger and Kyle Amouzgara led CCHS to a third-place team finish at sectionals on February 15. CCHS competed against 12 other schools and finished behind Arlington and Winchester, with eight Patriots wrestlers placing.

Mattaliano (157 pounds) and Eddie Myles (190) were champions in their respective weight classes — each going 3-0 on the day, all by dominant pins.

Boger and Amouzgar earned second-place finishes.

Juniors Ammar Bagasra and Kian Haeffner ended up in fifth place and qualified as state tournament alternates.

Freshmen Max Bell and Max Currie finished in sixth place.
