I am proud to endorse Alexa Anderson for re-election to the School Committee. Having worked alongside Alexa to co-found Concord Promise — a community-driven initiative encouraging parents to delay smartphone use for children — I have seen firsthand her ability to identify pressing issues and mobilize collective action.
Alexa recognized early on that the challenges posed by cellphones and social media are not just individual family decisions, but a communitywide issue requiring broad parental buy-in. Long before these concerns became mainstream, she was advocating for thoughtful discussions about the impact of technology on children’s mental health and well-being. Through Concord Promise, we were able to unite families, spark important conversations, and create a culture of shared responsibility around raising healthy, well-adjusted kids.
This ability to bring people together for the greater good is at the heart of Alexa’s work on the School Committee. She is deeply committed to ensuring our schools prioritize the programs and support systems that all students need to thrive. Whether helping families navigate the complexities of the school system or working collaboratively on committees to drive meaningful change, Alexa consistently demonstrates thoughtful leadership, deep understanding, and a commitment to equity and excellence in education.
