Concord-Carlisle Alpine Ski took eight student-athletes to the MIAA Alpine States on Tuesday, February 25, where they competed for individual titles in slalom and giant slalom, as well as boys team and girls team titles. The boys brought home the second place team trophy, falling short of perennial boys champions St. John’s Prep, though this makes them the best public high school in the state. The girls came in sixth place.

Junior Theo Remington paced the Patriots with a first place medal in slalom and a sixth place medal in giant slalom. Junior Tucker Kuftinec brought home a giant slalom medal for the second consecutive year, placing fifth. Senior Henry Flint finished his high school career with a personal best, 14th place in giant slalom and 29th in slalom. Junior Jamie Poole helped the Patriots earn the team title with a 35th place in slalom. Junior Jakab Renyi also participated and survived the tough courses.

On the girls side, sophomore Juniper Flint led Concord-Carlisle in the giant slalom, finishing 20th. Senior Delaney Remington took 32nd and finished in a career-high 22nd place.
Though the Patriots season has ended, Henry Flint and Theo Remington have been invited to participate in the Eastern High School Alpine Championships later in March.
