With a solid performance at the state wrestling tournament, Concord-Carlisle High School senior captain Eddie Myles has advanced to the New England Tournament in Providence this weekend.

On Saturday, Myles won his first match with a dominant 15-0 tech-pin, then faced a familiar top-seeded opponent and lost by a 5-2 decision. On Sunday, Myles beat his first opponent 15-0, then pinned his next opponent to secure a top-6 finish, qualifying him for the regional tournament.

Myles’ third event of the day was a rematch against the Division 1 state champion, one of only two opponents to have beaten him this season. Myles delivered an unrelenting series of attacks, overwhelming the No. 2 seed and scoring a major decision, 17-5, to finish the tournament in fourth place.
