For ‘new ideas’ on School Committee, cast your ballot for Michael Williams

March 14, 2025

I know Dr. Michael Williams is a thoughtful and patient listener. He is a man of great integrity and convictions. Michael’s voice and dedication are needed on the school committee to create schools that truly represent all Concord Public School students.

Our family moved to Concord because of the reputation of the schools. Yet as a biracial family living in Concord, my children have not had an easy time at school. Our pain has been met with concern by school administrators but little action. Last year’s struggle with the School Committee and the administration over naming our new school after a Black female Concordian stung as well.

People want to be heard, acknowledged, and welcomed, as Concord Public Schools are all of our schools. Young families, single folks, retired citizens, and our seniors are the “public” in Concord Public Schools.

I believe with new perspectives and experiences on the School Committee, there is an opportunity for the schools to live up to its reputation and benefit all children. Michael is  campaigning for “A Concord for All,” and I know he will work to build a school community that really is for everyone’s children.

It’s time for change. It’s time for new ideas. It’s time we vote our values again on April 8 and vote for Dr. Michael Williams.
