I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Alexa Anderson for re-election to the School Committee. Having served alongside her on the Concord Middle School Building Committee, I have seen firsthand her dedication and commitment.
Alexa has been one of the most proactive members of our committee, consistently stepping up to do the work necessary to support the building project. In the lead-up to Town Meeting, she took the lead on community outreach, volunteering countless hours to engage residents in meaningful conversations. Alongside Heather Bout, Alexa organized and hosted dozens of coffees — both online and in person — ensuring that diverse community members had the opportunity to ask questions and share their concerns. This level of accessibility and commitment is rare and invaluable.
Beyond her outreach efforts, Alexa is a strong and principled leader. She brings thoughtful perspectives to every discussion and is never afraid to advocate for what is best for our students. At the same time, she understands the importance of fiscal responsibility. Her opposition to spending funds on revamping sixth grade lockers demonstrated her ability to exercise restraint and prioritize resources where they are most needed.
What stands out most about Alexa is her collaborative spirit. I did not know her before serving on the committee, but from day one, she has made me feel welcome and valued. She communicates clearly, listens intently, and is always ready to lend a helping hand. Her transparency and honesty foster the trust that is so essential in town leadership.
Our schools and our town are stronger with Alexa Anderson on the School Committee. I urge my fellow residents to support her re-election.
