During my service on the Bedford School Committee, I had the good fortune of getting to know Alexa Anderson. Alexa is an outstanding public servant who keeps her eye on the most important issues and ensures that the best interests of children are at the center of her work. Her thorough preparation and knowledge of policy are quite remarkable, as is the fact that she regularly watches government meetings from surrounding towns; I was, and am, relentlessly impressed by how much she keeps on top of it all. In addition, Alexa was instrumental in establishing a chairs’ roundtable group for nine area school committee chairs, which was an inspired idea that brought thoughtful people together to discuss shared challenges and best practices. When you speak to her, it is abundantly clear that Alexa is deeply committed to Concord and its students, leading with humility, selflessness, utter dedication, and an eternally optimistic outlook. Concord is well-served by her and I am hopeful that she will continue her service for another term.
