Over the past several weeks, we have made a point to attend multiple events featuring the candidates for School Committee. We both went into this election with an open mind, hoping to hear thoughtful ideas about how we can support our schools and students. What we found was that two candidates — Alexa Anderson and Sandeep Pisharody — consistently stood out for all the right reasons.
Their approach to campaigning has been nothing short of inspiring. At every event, Alexa and Sandeep have led with optimism, substance, and a genuine desire to collaborate. They talk about our schools with both pride and a clear-eyed understanding of where we can improve. They focus on solutions, not blame. Their commitment to service is evident not just in their words, but in their longstanding volunteer work that brings real, tangible benefits to our schools without increasing the burden on taxpayers.
As parents who have spent years involved with school groups, we understand the importance of that kind of community-based effort. It’s the quiet, behind-the-scenes work that makes a real difference for students, and Alexa and Sandeep have been doing it for years.
We need leaders who bring people together, not drive them apart. Alexa Anderson and Sandeep Pisharody represent the kind of forward-looking, collaborative leadership Concord needs. We are proud to support them both.
