Paul is a dedicated hard worker and visionary on behalf of the town. Among all of his skills and results delivered for the town, I am impressed by his knowledge of and dedication to our natural resources, waterways, and recreational assets.
From his position on the Recreation Commission, he strongly advocated for the additional improvements in the newly constructed Gerow Park. He championed the submission of a successful application to the Community Preservation Committee for the addition of a boat ramp/fishing pier and playground at Gerow to enable access to Warner’s Pond and to enhance its value and usability to residents. Gerow, which lies right on the Rail Trail, will become an even more valuable asset once the fate of MCI-Concord is determined, and Paul clearly envisioned this future.
This is an example of not only his strategic vision, but also bringing strategy into action. Similarly, he championed and led the development of the Recreation Department’s new strategic plan, which establishes the future vision for Concord’s outdoor and indoor recreational assets including a goal of establishing a water-based recreation program to supplement our existing land-based program.
I believe that his strategic thinking and action-planning will be a valued and valuable addition to the Select Board. I urge you to vote for Paul for a seat on the Select Board.
