Concord Police log highlights: March 12-18, 2025

Wednesday, March 12

4:34 p.m. A Musketaquid Road resident said an opossum with mange was in her yard. ACO advised. 

5:41 p.m. A person at Walden Pond told police two men were arguing over one of them having a dog on the beach. State Police responded and reported that both men were gone.

6:11 p.m. Police were flagged down by a person who said an elderly man was changing on the beach at Walden Pond. The complainant’s information was given to the State Police to follow up. 

8:25 p.m. A caller told police that she was concerned about a dog she always sees outside at night on Stow Street. The caller told police the dog did not appear to be in distress. ACO was advised. 

Thursday, March 13

2:02 a.m. Police pulled a vehicle over on Elm Street. Officers arrested a 37-year-old Newton man on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a license that was suspended for OUI and a marked-lanes violation. 

8:50 a.m. An Ingham Lane resident told police that when she returned home from vacation, an envelope containing money was missing from her desk. 

10:38 a.m. Police responded to an alarm at a home on Main Street. The homeowner told police they were away and that the alarm was activated because a real estate agent was showing the house. Police checked the house. 

1:37 p.m. A person at the Beede Swim and Fitness Center told police there’s an ongoing issue involving Concord-Carlisle High School students parking in the lot. The caller asked the police to enforce parking rules. 

4:59 p.m. An Oak Hill Circle resident told police a sick skunk was lying against the steps in front of her home. ACO was notified. 

5:25 p.m. During a traffic stop on Fitchburg Turnpike and Plainfield Road, police cited a driver for failing to attach their license plate. The officer also issued a warning to the driver for not having their license in their possession. 

6:41 p.m. Police pulled over a car on Walden and Everett Streets. The officer issued a citation for inspection as well as a warning for having an unregistered vehicle. 

7:09 p.m. An Everett Street caller told police she was concerned about the amount of information she found online when she Googled her name. Police gave her advice. 

8:42 p.m. An Estabrook Road resident reported that his collarless, pointy-eared dog was missing. ACO was notified. 

11:45 p.m. Police received a 911 call about a car that drove into a tree on Laws Brook Road. A 21-year-old Littleton woman was arrested on charges of OUI, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and a marked-lanes violation. 

Friday, March 14

9:52 a.m. A Brook Trail Road resident told police the stop sign was taken from the intersection of Brook Trail and Hayward Mill Roads. Concord Public Works was notified.

5:43 p.m. Officers pulled a vehicle over near Main and Damon Streets and cited the driver for driving with no insurance, a suspended registration, and no license in their possession. The vehicle was towed. 

10:11 p.m. Police received multiple 911 calls about a woman on the Route 2 median near Baker Avenue Extension. Police determined that the woman was walking home and gave her a ride. 

10:13 p.m. A passerby said a vehicle with a Domino’s sign was driving erratically near Main Street and almost hit their parked car. Police were unable to locate the car. 

Saturday, March 15 

8:43 a.m. Dispatch received a 911 call on Bedford Street. The caller told police it was accidentally made by his Apple watch. 

Sunday, March 16

9:16 a.m. There was a 911 call near Wayside Road. Police said they heard talking and laughing in the background and learned that it was accidentally made by a child. 

1:31 p.m. Dispatch received an open line 911 call near ORNAC. Police said they were unable to leave a voicemail and checked with security. 

7:49 p.m. A caller told police a large tree fell across Laurel Street, making it impassable. The Highway Department was notified, but a police officer moved the tree himself. CPW was asked to clean the tree up in the morning. 

Monday, March 17

11:05 a.m. Police received a 911 call from Main Street and said they heard profanity in the background. Police responded, and the reporting party told officers he was trying to reach his wife, who had since called. 

8:14 p.m. Officers pulled a vehicle over near the Concord Turnpike and Fairhaven Road. The driver was cited with operating a motor vehicle after suspension and with speeding. The vehicle was later picked up by a licensed driver. 

9:05 p.m. Police were conducting traffic enforcement on Route 2 near Walden Street when they saw a vehicle fail to stop for a red light. Jeffrey Moran Martinez, 35, of Stow, was arrested on charges of possession of a Class B drug, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and failing to stop. 

9:23 p.m. A driver told police he hit a deer on Lexington Road. The vehicle sustained minor damage, officers said. 

10:30 p.m. An Indian Pipe Lane resident told police her two golden retrievers got out. ACO was notified.

Tuesday, March 18

8:23 a.m. A Tanglewood Drive resident told officers that a vehicle pulled into his driveway and two men got out, walked around the property, got back into their vehicle, and left. Police located the vehicle and learned that the men were contractors and had pulled into the wrong driveway. 

9:07 a.m. A Ministerial Drive resident reported a possible animal in their attic. ACO was notified. 

11:54 a.m. An officer found a dog near Plainfield Road and returned it to its owner. 

2:55 p.m. An Old Bridge Road resident told officers he saw a fox that might have mange. ACO was notified. 

4:56 p.m. Police pulled a vehicle over on Lowell Road and cited the driver for a hands-free violation and driving with a suspended license. The driver’s mother was on her way to pick the vehicle up. 

11:06 p.m. Dispatch received an open line 911 located near Monument Square. When police called back, they learned a cleaner accidentally hit the emergency button in the elevator.
