The April 5 matchup against Newton North showcased a more composed and connected Patriots squad.
From the start, CC played aggressive defense led by David Thut and Austin Ward. Morgan had several key saves, and long pole Sam Griswold delivered a standout takeaway early that led to a fast-break goal by Eric Palmer.

The Patriots’ offense clicked with crisp ball movement and unselfish play. Notable connections included Fivek setting up John Anderson early for a slick left-handed finish.
Multiple assists from Matthew Carleton to Tyler Shepard and later from Palmer added two more goals for the Patriots. Additional goals came from Ladd and Palmer.

Though Newton North closed the gap with two fourth-quarter goals following some offensive unforced errors, Concord-Carlisle’s defense held strong down the stretch. With the win, the Patriots evened their record at 1–1.
