Interesting local people - you do these fairly regularly but it might be interesting to have a regular section that highlights someone in the community. I always find these interesting and I usually learn something that I didn't know. I suspect you could get a lot of ideas if you solicited in a somewhat targeted way periodically - like, tell us about someone locally who has inspired you (then you could interview them perhaps), motivated you, taught you, helped you, etc... It doesn't have to be particularly impressive but there are plenty of impressive folks in town (like the guy who invented the world wide web for example)...

As someone who owns and appreciates electric cars, I hate to say this, but someone should investigate the installation of the Flo chargers at Rideout Park. The previous chargers worked great, and these new ones are hideously large, use soon to be outdated technology, tore up the sidewalk (still not fixed), and required(?) the installation of ugly breaker panels and a giant RUSTY green box right at the entrance of the park, which constantly buzzes. Someone totally messed this one up. Let’s figure out and not repeat these mistakes. We all want and probably need more electric charging. But please not in this way.
One last thing. Could we cool it on the editorials that are personal endorsements?

Concord in general and the Concord Bridge are extreme left-wing and globalist sympathizers.
I find your newspaper to be extremely biased.
Try posting point-counterpoint perspectives that include the perspectives of the 30% of residents who are not aligned with the Democratic party or United Nations, World Economic Forum and WHO world views.
Write about covid vaccine adverse events and failed mandates, net zero climate alternate views, MBTA smart city globalist oppression agenda, how democracy with citizens brainwashed by MSM propaganda is not a wise method of governance. And write about how Donald Trump has saved the planet from child trafficking and elite, deep state corruption. Write about the history and dangers of the corrupt Federal Reserve System.

Concord riders participating in the Pan Mass Challenge Ride (Aug 2024). This years ride will likely put the grand total raised for Dana Farber at 1 billion! There used to be a Concord Kids ride, but a new leader will need to take over planning.
Meet the Principals, or something to make the community area of leadership at the Concord schools (those that don’t get face time at Town Meeting or at School Committee meetings).
Summer camp highlights - there are so many local programs!

Would like to learn more about the families housed at the Great Western motel. Are they all still there? How is food being provided? How are the children adjusting to school in Concord?
Secondly, would like to know more about the community gardens in Concord including some profiles of the gardeners and the recent interest in growing one’s own food.

Lucy Lacoste has great shows and I’ve never seen any promo/pieces and her artists have such beautiful stories and diverse backgrounds. More art and culture in general would be lovely.

A group of people at First Parish is planning to start a "cluster group" to provide short term housing for immigrant families who are currently sleeping at Logan while awaiting shelter beds. (More people interested would be more help, and a lot of people seem to not know that families are sleeping on the floor of Terminal E.)
What about work for the migrants with work permits who are at our local shelter? There was a lovely article about an individual contractor hiring Haitians to paint. Is there a way that would serve both migrants and the community by having a match system to offer short term jobs in our households (garden, handyman, etc.) ?
I'd like to hear more about what Concord youth are involved in politically or service wise. I think there is a lot of interest in environmental activism, for example. What kind of support from other generations would be helpful and encouraging?
I'd like to hear more about what larger institutions/buildings in Concord are working on to decrease carbon footprints. This could put a little competitive pressure on. For example, a resident group at Newbury Court found administration unresponsive to calls for more attention to this issue. One could interview CEO Chris Sintros and find out what Newbury Court is actually working on and interview the residents involved. And that is just one local building . . .

How to get Concord’s non-profits to begin to make payments in lieu of taxes commensurate with the town services they consume (looking at you Concord Academy and Middlesex Schools, who send many faculty children to our public schools, use police and fire services and in the case of Concord Academy, use the Concord Free Public Library).

Interviews with historians focusing on a single lesser known historical person from Concord’s history, one at a time. This would be an opportunity to share the story of individuals who enriched our town and country and also had to deal with their own challenges of race, disability, gender, culture etc. How they are just like us, and strengthen our connection to our history. I went to a talk at Concord Library recently where a historian talked about these lesser known historical people, and their stories were fascinating.

Features on less known historical locations - either specific areas, houses or buildings would be interesting. Not the tourist locations. It could be a B-list or a hidden Concord segment. I remember our real estate agent shared interesting anecdotes as we drove through town and I wished I wrote them down!

--> Farms in Concord
Concord used to be a very agrarian town; vestigial remnants of its agricultural past still remain. Highlighting these extant farms might make for an interesting local story.
