Concord is offering a great opportunity to people who want to improve safety for walkers, bikers and wheelchair users near Route 2. The new survey won’t take you more than a few minutes.
The first two sections address crossing Route 2 at the junction with Route 62 and at the junction of Old Road to Nine Acre Corner (ORNAC). The third section is about crossing ORNAC itself right up against Route 2 traffic.
That crossing is especially unsafe for staff at Emerson Hospital heading to the West Concord train, for instance, or older residents of Newbury Court who like to walk.
