3:17 a.m. Police stopped a car on Route 2 East and transported one person to the police station. The driver was issued a summons for no valid inspection sticker, operating after revoked registration and an uninsured vehicle.
7:50 a.m. Officers provided school crossing coverage townwide. Police said there were no Beede Center parking issues.
8:56 a.m. A Black Birch Lane resident reported a suspicious car parked outside her home for 30 minutes. It was gone when police arrived.
9:53 a.m. Police reported a car blocking a detail unit on Main and Belknap Streets. Concord Academy staff was alerted.
10:03 a.m. The owner of a credit card found on Main Street asked police to destroy it.
10:25 a.m. Police issued a summons to a motorist on Old Marlboro Road for speeding in a school zone and driving an unlicensed vehicle.
11:18 a.m. A resident of Nathan Pratt Drive reported suspicious activity involving a small claim at Concord District Court.
1:17 p.m. A person told police he accidentally scratched another car in the Twin Seafood parking lot. The other vehicle left the scene.
2:41 p.m. Police found a wallet in the Caffè Nero area. It had cash and charge cards in it.
3:52 p.m. Verrill Farm reported a past theft of market items.
4:13 p.m. A Nathan Pratt resident called police stating there was an injured baby bird that was flapping its wings, unable to fly, and rolling around. Animal Control was notified.
10:28 p.m. A resident of Concord Academy called to say a Honda Accord had been parked across from the gate for four hours. The caller thought the car was occupied the whole time. Police found the car pulled off to the side of the road in a marked spot. The motorist said she pulled over to use a public Wi-Fi connection.
Friday, Sept. 1
8:54 a.m. A Birch Drive resident reported his burglar alarm sounded hours earlier, but he hadn’t heard it. His daughter noticed his door was unlocked when he thought he’d locked it. He saw a vehicle via an exterior camera. There was no interior camera, and nothing was missing.
10:13 a.m. A woman walked in to report she witnessed a man on a bicycle trying to break into every vehicle in the Crosby’s Market lot the previous evening.
1:35 p.m. A woman reported losing her Toyota key fob on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail by the West Concord depot. She retraced her steps and didn’t find it. Later, she said she found it.
3:16 p.m. Police received numerous 911 calls about a two-car crash near the Old North Bridge. Police requested two tows. One operator was issued a warning for failure to yield. Both vehicles were removed.
5:10 p.m. Police arrested a motorist at a stop on Fitchburg Turnpike near Colonial Gardens on a warrant. A licensed operator took possession of the vehicle.
5:23 p.m. Police responded to a noise complaint from staff at the Residence Inn on Baker Avenue about a person in the lobby causing a disturbance over a reservation issue. Verbal altercation only. Parties left the area.
8:10 p.m. A resident of White Avenue reported multiple children on White Pond beach playing loud music and using flashlights. A check of the beach and upper parking lot found no cars and no young people.
Saturday, Sept. 2
6:28 a.m. A Barretts Mill Road resident reported hearing fireworks or gunshots. Police didn’t hear anything.
10:11 a.m. A person walked into the station with a cellphone found on Simon Willard Road. The owner lived on Oxbow Road and retrieved the phone.
12:49 p.m. Emerson Security reported a disturbance in the parking lot where a vehicle was blocking the ambulance bays and the driver being verbally aggressive with hospital staff. The motorist left.
2:51 p.m. Concord Academy reported suspicious individuals walking on Main Street by the campus. The caller did not ask for help, just to report it. The involved people were walking on campus and left without incident when asked to.
3:22 p.m. A person reported a stolen vehicle from the parking lot at Concord Crossing on Grant Street. Police found the car on the other side of the lot. The car was still in gear and not in its original space.
6:25 p.m. A resident of Beharrell Street reported a man wearing a red shirt on a bicycle was looking into cars in the parking lot on the street. Police later caught up with a person matching that description who said he was driving through the area and stopped at 7-Eleven to grab food. The person headed to the Best Western.
6:52 p.m. Police arrested a person along the side of Walden Street in the parking lot of the Hapgood Wright Forest on alcohol-related offenses. He appeared to be asleep. The car was towed.
Sunday, Sept. 3
10:51 a.m. Police issued a citation for driving an unregistered car to a motorist on Route 2 and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner.
11:11 a.m. Police responded to a 911 call about a two-car accident in the Route 2 rotary. State Police were notified. One person was transported to Emerson Hospital. Minutes later, a second accident was reported in the rotary circle where one person was transported to state police barracks.
12:54 p.m. A motorist reported the flashing red light at the intersection of Lowell Road and Barretts Mill Road was out heading north on Lowell Road. Concord Public Works was notified.
2:12 p.m. A Plainfield Road resident reported people grilling at White Pond and felt with the high wind, it was unsafe. Police reported the grill in use is the one that has been installed at White Pond and not a hazard.
5:36 p.m. A caller at the Great Meadows Wildlife Refuge reported two cars in the parking lot with their windows broken. Federal Wildlife personnel were on the scene.
5:49 p.m. Two vehicles at the Meriams Corner parking lot on Lexington Road had their windows broken.
Monday, Sept. 4
3:12 p.m. A passerby reported two cars parked on Hemlock Street blocking the road on Dover Street by White Pond. Police checked and found that the cars were not causing a hazard.
4:28 p.m. A Liberty Street resident reported receiving an alert via Ring camera of a man in a white shirt and yellow hat walking around his property and looking in the dumpsters being used to clean out the barn. The caller said there is a company that has been doing the cleanout, but he did not believe they were working on Labor Day. Police spoke to a neighbor who said it was he and another neighbor on the property. The caller said it was OK for them to be there.
5:36 p.m. Police checked on a man walking down Route 2 between Emerson Hospital and Sudbury Road who was described as wearing all dark clothes with dark hair and a beard. The man refused to identify himself and showed that he was walking on the grass. He said he would call a taxi from the Exxon station.
Tuesday, Sept. 5
5:50 a.m. A two-car collision was reported on Walden Street and Route 2. Paper exchange only.
8:27 a.m. International Collision was called to Old Marlboro and Williams Roads to tow a car after a stop. Police issued the driver a citation for operating after suspension and drove him to Dunkin’ Donuts.
8:41 a.m. A dog was fatally hit in the area of Walden and Thoreau Streets. The animal’s owner took it to the Baker Avenue Animal Hospital.
9:29 a.m. Live wires were reported down on Ministerial Drive and Tarbell Spring Road. Police notified CMLP and remained on the scene.
4:16 p.m. A person was reported on the train tracks on Thoreau Street. Police found the person sitting down relaxing after a bike ride. No issues.
4:57 p.m. Police received a 911 call from Monument Street about a motorcyclist who went off the road and into a wall. The motorcyclist said he was run off the road by a black BMW 5 series that was headed inbound towards Monument Square. Police were unable to locate the car. The motorcyclist got a ride and a truck removed the motorcycle from the road.
Wednesday, Sept. 6
9:14 a.m. Horses got free from a Pope Road home and crossed into Carlisle. Carlisle PD was notified. Horses were returned.
5:25 p.m. A Derby Street resident reported receiving messages from a scammer stating that they have hacked her email, installed viruses on her computer and have videos of her engaged in illicit activities. She has ignored the messages and not interacted with the party, but wanted guidance on handling the situation.
8:25 p.m. A woman walked in to request assistance with a flat tire and inability to drive home to Philip Farm Road. Police secured the vehicle in the lot and drove the woman home, where she got a spare and called AAA.
