While fast flying jets over Concord streak
A select few in their cabins seek
Better business deals in shorter time
As bottom lines continue to climb.
Now fast forward to a future not mine
When warming world is not so benign,
And high carbon spewed by private jet
Leaves a fouled planet our grandchildren will get.
With carbon emittance of ten-to-one
Private jet flying is wasteful when done.
To reduce the risk of an unhealthy pall
Stop hangar expansion once and for all.
And those ferry flights you’ve heard about
Are bound to have only marginal clout
On reducing overall private jet traffic
‘Cause they’re ferry tales and not so magic.
