One hundred thirty-five people attended the Concord Municipal Light Plant’s EV Showcase, covered in the September 27 edition of The Concord Bridge, for a closeup look at electric vehicles ranging from sedans to SUV/crossovers to minivans to pickup trucks.
After incentives, a number of cars on display cost between $23,000 and $30,000 to purchase new. For new EVs, after applying federal tax credits and state and CMLP rebates, the price can drop to the same level — or even lower — than comparable gas cars, making EVs accessible to buyers who may have thought them too expensive.
The used EV market offers even more affordable options. As early adopters upgrade to newer models, a reliable supply of used EVs is emerging. With federal, state, and CMLP rebates, used EVs can cost thousands less than their gas equivalents, making them a great choice for those looking to save even more. Plus, with lower fuel and maintenance costs, whether you buy new or used, EVs offer long-term savings that make ownership more affordable overall.
Use CMLP’s DrivE & SaVe Wizard, available at ConcordDrivesElectric.org, to estimate how much you can save over time by driving electric, and to browse upfront purchase prices for over 150 EVs.
You don’t have to navigate the journey to driving electric alone.
