Diana W. Cody (nee Ulvedahl), a beloved Mom, Mimi and Scamp, passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 92.
Diana was born on April 27, 1932, to Richard and Anna Ulvedahl. She grew up in Brookline with her twin sister Carolyn and older brother Richard. After graduating from Brookline High School, Diana and Carolyn moved to California, where Diana would meet her husband, B.W. “Bill” Cody. Diana and Bill moved back to Massachusetts and settled in Concord to raise their children. Diana worked diligently to support herself and her family and was proud to have worked for Honeywell for many years.
Diana is survived by her son, Ronald H. Cody, and his wife, Miriam; her daughter, Susan Cody; grandchildren, Kirsten Lind and her husband, Patrick, and Maia Cody. Diana is also survived by her brother Richard, several nieces, a nephew, and her great-grandpug Mookie.
Diana adored vacationing in Chamberlain, Maine, a love she passed down to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener, lover of the outdoors and Boston terriers, coffee aficionado, social butterfly, and reader. She greatly valued her independence and loved driving, walking, and, in her later years, wheeling around the halls of the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley. She loved playing bingo with her daughter and granddaughters at Rivercourt Residences, enjoying a nice snack, and being a bit of a scamp to all who knew her.
Funeral service and burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery will be private.
