Born in New York, Edda was raised with a deep sense of service to others. She spent much of her life as a social worker, later transitioning to a successful career as a local realtor. Whether it was lending a hand to her family, offering support to a friend, or serving her community, Edda approached each act with kindness, grace, and a heart full of love.

Edda was the beloved wife of Alford Dyson Jr. of Groton for more than 60 years. They were true partners and enjoyed traveling together. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Jenepher Spencer, also of Groton, and her son, Todd Dyson of Arizona, both of whom she supported and guided with unconditional love. As “Mom-Mom” to Chase and Kylie Spencer, Edda’s joy and pride knew no bounds. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Edda’s legacy extends far beyond her immediate family. Known for her generosity, radiant smile, and boundless positivity, she was a beacon of comfort and encouragement to all who were fortunate to know her.
