All are welcome to kick off the holiday season with the annual Concord Tree Lighting and Holiday Parade on Sunday, Dec. 4 hosted by the town Recreation Department.
Entertainment begins at 2:30 p.m. with the Concord Women’s Chorus performing on the Bank of America steps. In addition to annual favorites like the Bean Town Swing Orchestra, sponsored by MBA Builders, new highlights include a gigantic snow globe for fun family photos as well as several new vendors on Monument Square. Store fronts will be open and attendees can look forward to food and activities throughout Concord center.
The parade kicks off from the Hunt Gym at 4:50 p.m. with Santa capping off the parade from the top of a fire truck. Santa and friends will light the tree and then proceed to Monument Hall for photos.
Volunteers from Concord Open Table will be present to collect food donations.
Concord Recreation gratefully thanks the Concord Police and Fire departments, the public works and facilities departments, along with the Concord Light Department.
