On Dec. 8, 25 people gathered at the Council on Aging to participate in a workshop sponsored by the Garden Club of Concord.
This was the second year for an event that has quickly become extremely popular.
Attendees were created peaceful and elegant holiday arrangements with the assistance of club members. A quart sized Ball jar, decorated with seasonal tissue paper and a raffia ribbon, was filled with shore pine, variegated oregonia, incense cedar, wax flower, white alstroemeria, a dried lotus seed pod, a sprig of curly willow and finished with a cluster of three small silver ball ornaments.
Assisting participants were Garden Club members Wendy McNally, Dennis Fiori, Jennifer Stone, Beth Kundert, Mary Pope and Carol Hryniewicz.
