Adult Programs
“Concord After 60” Sunday, November 20, 1:00pm.
Join Library Director Emily Smith in the Goodwin Forum at the Main Library for a presentation about the Concord Free Public Library, providing an overview of the Library’s services and programs. Emily will discuss the physical resources and in-person programs available in the Library’s two locations, as well as virtual services and digital resources available from home. The presentation will be followed by a tour of the renovated Main Library including the Makerspace, Children’s Library, Writer In Residence office, Commons, and other newly improved and expanded spaces. No registration required.
“Poetry from the Library Featuring Brian Burt and Quintin Collins” Sunday, November 20, 3:00pm.
Join us for an in-person afternoon in the Goodwin Forum at the Main Library with award-winning poets – Concord resident Brian Burt and Boston-based Quintin Collins – who will read and engage in a Q&A about their creative process.
“Stitch Circle at Fowler” Tuesday, November 22, 1:00pm.
Join fellow knitting, crocheting, and needlework enthusiasts for an hour of social crafting at the Fowler Branch. Help each other out of tough spots, share patterns and tips, and enjoy crafting together. No registration required.
Teen Programs
“Teen PYOB: Paint Your Own Bookmark” Tuesday, November 29, 4:00pm.
Design your own bookmark with watercolor! Make one as a gift for family and friends, or just for you. Multi-faceted artist Margaret McCandless will facilitate, who is an expert in combining the musical, visual, dramatic, and creative. This program takes place in the Teen Room at the Main Library.
Children’s Programs
“Musical Monday with Tim Seston” Monday, November 21, 10:30am.
Teacher and father Tim Seston will perform music and stories for children ages 0-6 in the Goodwin Forum at the Main Library. Seston has been entertaining audiences since 2006 with original stories and songs. Alongside puppet and his guitar, Tim brings warmth and kindness to each and every performance. No registration required.
“Mandarin Storytime with First Connections at Fowler” Wednesday, November 23, 10:30am
This special opportunity for learning and practicing Mandarin is open to children aged 2 to 5 years old. Parents and children attend together, and siblings are welcome to listen in as our Story Teller engages children in songs, reads stories in Mandarin, leads language exercises, and introduces Chinese characters.
