A local group, Concord for Ukraine, is raising funds for hospital beds at Ukrainian children’s hospitals and maternity wards.
Hospitals desperately need beds for mothers and children in the crossfire of Ukraine’s fight for democracy.
We believe that the Concord community can fund at least 100 of these desperately needed hospital beds this fall. A $250 donation funds one bed, and any donation is helpful. If you have the ability, please consider funding a full bed or more!
Concord Piecemakers has donated this handmade, Ukraine-themed quilt for Concord for Ukraine to raffle this fall – through events, community center visits and media visibility. The “Traveling Quilt” will be on display at many local venues throughout the fall – watch for it!
The winner will be announced at the Dec. 4 Concord Tree Lighting. All raffle contributors will be notified by email that evening whether they’ve won or not!
All money donated will go directly to acquiring hospital beds through Ukraine Forward, an all-volunteer organization based in Newton, working directly with volunteers in Ukraine to get needed medical supplies to civilians caught in this desperate war.
It takes a village; our village.
