The Concord Association of Music Parents has launched its annual online auction. A parent-led volunteer organization, Concord AMP raises money to provide resources to faculty above and beyond their already tight budgets, so that every child in the Concord Public Schools can experience an education enriched by music.
The auction, which can be accessed at concordamp.org, includes fitness memberships, Boston Bruins tickets, a New Hampshire vacation stay, homemade treats, exclusive gifts, sought-after services, and more!
Heart Orthodontics, located on Main Street in West Concord, has donated a complete orthodontic treatment (value $7,000). Heart Orthodontics and Dr. Yang Li offer state-of-the-art treatment, such as a 3D scanner that completely eliminates messy and unpleasant impressions, as well as a low radiation X-ray machine, in addition to little perks like complimentary coffee and wi-fi.
Other Concord businesses supporting the auction include Concord Recreation, the Thoreau Club, Nashoba Brook Bakery, Concord Scholars Institute for Arts & Languages, Radius Ensemble, The Concord Museum and Nosh. Additionally, community members are donating a stay at the Black Bear Lodge in Waterville Valley, NH, Boston Bruins tickets, homemade pies, biscotti and private music lessons.
Go to concordamp.org/auction to browse the many items available for bidding. Like eBay, the platform includes proxy bidding so that you can automatically increase your offer as others bid, up to a maximum you designate. Bidding ends Dec. 16.
Among the many projects Concord AMP funding makes possible are instrument purchase and maintenance, special guests and speakers, and intensive opportunities for our most dedicated performers.
Concord AMP believes that music is not an “extra” — it is an irreplaceable facet of our lives that makes our children better learners and citizens, enriches our community at large, and brings us all hope and joy.
