“Films at Fowler: Official Secrets” Wednesday, January 25, 7 PM on Zoom
Watch the film Official Secrets and then discuss it with other film fans! The film features a minor British intelligence specialist (Keira Knightley) who discovers a shocking directive about secret U.S. actions and leaks the memo to the press. Watch the film streaming on Kanopy (free for Concord patrons) before the discussion. Discussion will take place on Zoom. To register, email to FilmsatFowler@concordlibrary.org.
“The World’s A Stage Players Present the ‘Playing Shakespeare’ Workshops” Sunday, January 29, 1:30 PM
The World’s A Stage Players are excited to host a series of five workshops that will work with the scenes, speeches, and sonnets from Shakespeare. The workshops will tackle using both verse and prose, finding character through language, exploring speeches and soliloquies, and utilizing irony, passion, and coolness. “Teen Dungeons and Dragons” Wednesday, January 25, 3:30 PM.
Teens! Join Dungeons and Dragons at the Teen Lounge in the Main Library. Play casual one-off games or start a campaign with others. Beginners encouraged. Experts expected to help out! No registration required.
“Navigating College Admissions Successfully in 2023” Wednesday, January 25, 7 PM on Zoom
The recent college admissions cycle was the most competitive to date. With most colleges continuing their test-optional policies as well as increasing their virtual outreach to high school students, many schools had record numbers of applicants. This presentation, led by Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper from Stand Out For College, LLC, will discuss current college admissions trends, the importance of researching and visiting colleges to find schools that are a good fit, and a timeline and other action steps that can be taken to make this second half of the school year productive and help reduce the stress around the college admissions process. This program will take place on Zoom and is recommended for teens and their parents.

Join musician Tim Seston for original stories and songs. Alongside puppet and his guitar, Tim brings warmth and kindness to each and every performance. Thanks to the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library for sponsoring this program. No registration required.
“Fairy Tales at Fowler” Thursday, January 26, 4:30 PM
Explore the world through folktales and fairy tales in this storytime for ages 4 – 12! We’ll share songs, stories, and do a hands-on craft. No registration required.
