The Concord Chamber Music Society will conclude its 2022-23 season with a special gala concert by internationally acclaimed pianist Yefim Bronfman. Rescheduled from the 2019-20 pandemic season, this event will celebrate more than two decades of remarkable CCMS chamber music performances.
The concert will take place at the new Groton Hill Music Center Concert Hall, 122 Old Ayer Road, Groton, on Friday, March 31 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The program will include Piano Sonatas by Schubert, Bartók and Chopin. All audience members are invited to a reception following the performance in Groton Hill’s SkyView Room. Internationally recognized as one of today’s most lauded and admired pianists, Bronfman stands among a handful of artists regularly sought by festivals, orchestras, conductors and recital series. His commanding technique, power and exceptional lyrical gifts are consistently acknowledged by the press and audiences alike. Widely praised for his solo, chamber and orchestral recordings, Bronfman has been nominated for 6 Grammy Awards winning in 1997 with Esa-Pekka Salonen and the Los Angeles Philharmonic for their recording of the three Bartok Piano Concerti. Born in Tashkent in the Soviet Union, Yefim Bronfman studied at The Juilliard School, Marlboro School of Music, and the Curtis Institute of Music. He is a recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Prize, has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music.
