I would first like to thank the sponsors and writers of The Concord Bridge for providing a real service to the community, now that the Concord Journal has become a pale shadow of its former self.
I was, however, perplexed to read that the provision of a ‘designated space for students of color’ at CCHS was being considered a significant accomplishment of the DEI movement. When I was growing up in Detroit in the 50s and attended a plurality Black and very ethnically diverse high school, such a separate space would have been called…segregation.
