Stories of Us coming to library

April 13, 2023

Modeled after the popular Moth Radio Hour, the Concord library is hosting its own version of live storytelling with the inaugural program on April 25 from 6:45 – 8 p.m. at the main branch.

Radio host Harry Harding will introduce presenters with amazing stories to share and invite the audience to consider the power of our own stories. It is billed as a collaborative inclusive storytelling project that provides a platform to share and interpret personal narratives.

According to Lara Wilson, whose organization Be Well Be Here is co-sponsoring the program with the library, the Carlisle DEI committee and COAR and the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area, the Stories of Us “goes beyond traditional storytelling practices to create a brave communal space to speak candidly, feel heard, listen mindfully and celebrate inclusion.”
